Matt Moltane CSP, ALCM
Matt Moltane is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP – No. 15720) and principal consultant for Strategic Safety. Matt maintains the Associate Loss Control Manager (ALCM) designation, is a former OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer in general and construction industries and is completing the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation.
Matt has been involved in the loss control and safety field since 1989. Professional work experience includes loss control and safety engineering, industrial hygiene, “Best Practice Assessments”, safety program development, and employee and manager training. He facilitates a number of client safety committees and provides monthly training for a large municipality.
Matt is responsible for client and business development, client resources, quality control and process improvement.
Matt is a Professional Member of the Lansing Chapter of the Association of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Dean O’Neil CSP, CHST
Dean O’Neil is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP – No. 19028), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST – No. C1181) and Director of Field Operations for Strategic Safety. He has been involved in the loss control and safety field since 1990. Professional work experience includes loss control, safety engineering, and industrial hygiene services in general and construction industries.
Dean assists organizations with the development of accident prevention programs, employee/management training, written safety procedures, MIOSHA/OSHA compliance, air contaminant monitoring and workplace sound level surveys.
Dean is a member of the Association of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Eric Fox
Eric Fox has a BS. in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Grand Valley State University. He has work as an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer in several manufacturing plants.
Eric has been involved in the loss control and safety field since 2000.
Professional work experience includes developing and implementing entire safety programs including: Lockout/Tagout, Power Industrial Truck, Respiratory Protection Plan, Employee Orientation, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Contingency Plan, Emergency Response, SWPPP, HAZCOM and Supervisor Accident Investigation Plan.
He has also been involved in MIOSHA/OSHA compliance inspections, air contaminant monitoring and workplace sound level surveys.
Robert “Bob” Meagher, Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS)
Bob Meagher is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (#215) and has an extensive loss control background working with a number of insurance carriers throughout his career.
Bob specializes in property conservation, fire sprinkler systems which include analysis, along with booster and fire pump testing. His B.S. degree is in Fire Protection/Occupational Safety and Health. Bob has done many hydrant / booster / and fire pump testing over his 25 plus years in the field.
He has specialized in Probable Maximum Loss (PML) and other similar versions of loss prevention. He has been trained in Business Interruption analysis, fire sprinkler and booster pump plan review, and sprinkler impairments. He is also very familiar with Insurance Service Office (ISO) rates. Bob recently became a member of the Michigan Fire Inspectors Society.
Vickie Nichols
Vickie Nichols is SSI’s Office Manager, “Director of Infrastructure” and liaison to field consultants and clients. She has over a decade of loss control administrative support experience.
Vickie conducts research and provides support for field operations, statistical analysis, workshop development and preparation, and claims analysis and reporting. Vickie is integral to the quality control process and conducts final processing of all SSI work.
Gerald “Jerry” Flewelling
Jerry Flewelling is a GM/UAW certified instructor for a number of safety subjects such as rigging, cranes, lift truck, ergonomics, confined spaces, aerial lifts, hazard communication, bloodborne pathogens, vehicle lift and wrecker operations. He is also a certified meeting facilitator and employee participation leader.
Jerry wrote, narrated and co-produced two safety videos and is a Skilled Trades Journeyman. Jerry developed the safety program and taught safety courses at Oakland Community College.
